David Weekley Homes Breaks Ground

Team Picture Of Ground BreakingDavid Weekley Homes began in 1976 as a two-person building company and has grown into America’s largest privately held homebuilder. They are already established in the Greater Hilton Head area, but Pinckney Retreat is the first Beaufort community where they are offering homes for sale. A furnished model for Pinckney Retreat is now underway. This showcase home is scheduled to open to the public this summer.

Pinckney Retreat is a Lowcounty community of 77 homesites. David Weekley Homes was drawn to the community because of its breathtaking views of the great salt marsh, its antebellum gardens and the lush live oaks. They have specifically designed a collection of Lowcountry plans to complement the land and its history. The new home plans will be priced from the low $300s.

East West Communities, an award-winning developer based in Richmond, Virginia, purchased the remaining homesites in Pinckney Retreat earlier this year and will complete the community’s development. Established in 1972, East West Communities’ success story has its roots in the Sea Pines Company of Hilton Head.
